Our property lies on the north coast of Somerset in the lee of Exmoor with fantastic views across Porlock Bay and the Bristol Channel towards Wales. The small harbour of Porlock weir is a few hundred yards away and there is easy access from our property down on to the shingle beach.
A five minute drive to Porlock where you can find an array of pubs, shops, cafes and restaurants. Porlock Weir and the harbour is a three minute walk.
Lying between Exmoor and the sea, surrounded by the picture postcard villages of the National Trust and views across the bay.
A wild protected landscape, supporting large herds of ponies and red deer and all just a walk from the front door!
There are plenty of good long walks and beautiful sites to see around this untouched part of Somerset and a visitors centre to help you map out and plan your stay.
Directions:
Take M4 exit 20 to M5
Exit M5 at either junction 23 or 24 (via Bridgwater) or Junction 25 via Taunton to Minehead, (A39/ A38) and pass through Williton and stay on A39 until you reach Porlock.
Drive through the village and at the end of the village take the right hand fork (direction Porlock Weir). About one and a half miles down there you see signed ‘Porlock Weir’, take a left turn there and we are the first house on the right. You'll see a long stone wall drive in to the yard which is the last entrance and the top of the hill.
Caroline and Keith live in the large red brick house next door and will be there to meet you with the key.
